Jean-Philippe Bergeron was born in Saint-Hyacinthe in 1978. He has birthed three collections of poetry: Visages de l’affolement (Faces of Panic, published by Lanctôt) in 2003; Débris des ruches (Debris of the Hives) in 2005; and Ombres (Shadows) in 2007 (the latter two works published by Poètes de brousse). He won the Alain-Grandbroise prize in 2004. He is inspired by lyrical abstraction and the primitive arts. He’s presently at work on a book tentatively titled Baltimore.
