Yves Boisvert

With a Master’s degree in literature from the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières, Yves Boisvert has been a writer since 1973. He is the author of some thirty books, including Chiffrage des offenses (Hexagone, 1987), Gardez tout (Écrits des Forges, 1987), Les amateurs de sentiments (Écrits des Forges, 1989) and La Copine (XYZ, 1992). Many of his works have been translated, into English, Spanish and Romanian. His most recent books, Les chaouins and La pensée niaiseuse (XYZ/Le Sabord, 1997, 2001), were magnificently illustrated by graphic designer and artist Dyane Gagnon. Boisvert has been awarded several grants and distinctions, including the Prix du Journal de Montréal and the Desjardins Literary Award in 1988.
