Évelyne de la Chenelière

Evelyne de la Chenelière, author and actress, has written several plays that have been produced both at home in Quebec as well as abroad, and which have been translated into several different languages. Whether we recall Des fraises en Janvier (Strawberries in January), Au bout du fil (At the End of the Line), Henri & Margaux, Aphrodite en 04, L’Héritage de Darwin (Darwin’s Legacy), Bashir Lazhar,or Le plan américain (The American Plan), we see that meticulous observation of human nature is at the heart of her creations. In 2006, she received the Governor General’s Award for her collection entitled Désordre public (Public Disorder). A product of the Nouveau Théâtre Expérimental, she has frequently collaborated with Jean-Pierre Ronfard, and regularly works with Daniel Brière.
