Born in Montréal in 1980, Guido Del Fabbro began taking violin lessons when he was four years old. Later, he refined his technique and his style by studying with Malcolm Goldstein (2000-2001). He is a member of several groups: Rouge Ciel, Rodéoscopique and Fanfare Pourpour. He works on a regular basis as composer for the contemporary dance company Soeurs Schmutt, on choreographies like Gelsomina, Switch and Ganas de Vivir. He has collaborated on albums as a musician or arranger with numerous artists such as Philippe B, Magnolia, Tomás Jensen, Loco Locass, Beast, Mara Tremblay, Marie-Pierre Arthur, Jérôme Minière and Pierre Lapointe. He has performed with Pierre Lapointe since 2004. As part of the Ensemble Super-Musique, he participated in the Filature project by Joane Hétu and Une Constellation de mutants. Since 2007, he has composed and performed with the Inuit poet Taqralik Partridge. Two of his solo projects were released on the label Ambiances Magnétiques: Carré de sable (2003) and Agrégats (2007).
