Born in Montréal in 1971, Christine Germain is presently working on the production of a CD-ROM, with a grant from the Canada Council (Spoken and Electronic Words). Since 1997, with poet and playwright Michel Garneau, she has co-directed the radio program Les Décrocheurs d’étoiles on Radio-Canada’s Chaîne culturelle. In 1999, she published Textes de la soif/monologues à voix haute, with a companion audio CD (Planète rebelle). In addition to numerous on-stage performances, she has participated as an author in several productions by Théâtre Urbi/Orbi (Les Contes Urbains, Les Zurbains, 38/Événement shakespearien). In 1998 she was the author in residence, with playwright Yvan Bienvenue, at Théâtre d’Aujourd’hui.
