Francine Grimaldi

Child of the theatre, Jean Grimaldi’s daughter started her career as an actor at the early age of 3 and went on until the 70’s, performing on theatre, TV and movies. She then did research for Lise Payette’s and Jean-Pierre Coallier’s TV talk shows until 2001. Naming herself the cultural rambler, a type of profession she created as she scoured every corner of Montréal and the world for cultural events; meanwhile, she has held several columns and reviews in Quebec’s medias for many years. Among others, she took part in the daily morning radio show CBF Bonjour from1972 to 1998, and wrote in Montréal Express from 1973 to 1997, in La Presse during 20 years until 2000, in 7 Jours magazine for a few months and Montréal Scope since 1972 up to now. She also was coauthor and coeditor of the printed series Guide des plaisirs de Montréal, Le Grimaldi. Every week-end since 1998 she has held a cultural chronicle on Radio-Canada’s Premiere chaîne, morning shows Samedi et rien d’autre and Pourquoi pas dimanche. For 4 years she has written in Le Chef, a food magazine, while being the proud sponsor for nearly 15 years, of the Regroupement des Magasins-Partage, a stores network distributing food for the needy.
