François Lalumière

Born in Granby (Qc) in 1983, Francois Lalumiere lives and works in Montréal.Since 2008, he presented his work on the campus of Concordia University: VAV Gallery and Faculty of Fine Art/ FOFA Gallery and in Concordia students festival, ART MATTERS, at Eastern Bloc Gallery. He has shown his work in group & collaborative projects in artist centers such as: articule (MTL), Espace F (Matane) and DARE-DARE (MTL). He has been invited to participate in artistic events such as: la nuit blanche 2011 with art souterrain (Festival Montréal en lumière), Chromatic organized by MASSIV’art at Société Des Arts Technologiques — SAT, Haiti entre images et mots organised by LOJIQ and BIJ at Maison Folie (Belgium). The collages, tableaux, installations, sculpures, and urbain interventions Lalumiere creates are recognizable by the use of duct tape that he uses like a tool as well as brush and paint.
