Composer, producer, songwriter, Martin Léon holds a BA, is multiple times grant holder from arts councils and grant holder for excellence in music composition (FCAR). He was also trainee at Siena in film scoring with Mr Ennio Morricone (Once Upon a Time in the West). After having received 3 nominations at ADISQ Gala in 1999 for the group Ann Victor, it is in August 2003 that Martin Léon launches a first solo album: Kiki BBQ. Unanimous critics and the project gets 4 nominations at ADISQ Gala in 2003. Martin Léon is chief songwriter and musical leader of the Gala des Masques in 2004, composer of multiple musics for theater (including with Théâtre de Quat’sous director Éric Jean) and of a dozen projects related to cinema, documentary and television. He is guest vocalist on three albums for children written by Gilles Vigneault: Un dimanche à Kyoto, Le petit chien de laine (FELIX for Youth album) and recently Un cadeau pour Sophie (October 2007). With the Quebec-wide tour that followed the success of his first solo album, Martin Léon gave us in 2007 his new album of songs entitled Le facteur vent.
