Hilary Peach

…has been writing and performing as an audio poet and spoken word artist for fifteen years. Her performance strives to marry the complex textures of language poetry with the dynamic energy of physical theatre. Among the shows that Peach has written and performed are Chien lunatique, The Daisy Poems, Wedding/Funerals, Outlaw Girls and Love Is a Small Town. Outlaw Girls was published by Polestar Press in Fresh Tracks: Writing the Western Landscape in 1997. Her poems have appeared in Fresh Tracks: Writing the Western Landscape(Polestar Press) as well as The Capilano Review, NOISE, ANERCA, Minus Tides, Bloom, and the Ribsauce anthology of spoken word. She has published two chapbooks, 10 Flowered Cactus (1996) and Love is a Small Town (2001),both on Wave7Press.

Peach has performed extensively in Canada and the United States, and in June of 2001 she represented Canada at the 32nd Annual Poetry International Festival in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Currently Hilary Peach is completing an audio CD entitled Poems Only Dogs Can Hear.
