Marie Hélène Poitras

In 2005, Marie Hélène Poitras published La mort de Mignonne et autres histoires (Les Éditions Triptyque), a collection of short stories positively reviewed by critics and nominated for a Prix des libraires, an award for French literature. Her first novel Soudain le Minotaure won her the Prix Anne-Hébert in 2003, another literary award. This novel was reissued in paperback with an additional afterword and was also translated into Italian, English and Spanish. In 2009, Marie Hélène Poitras launched Rock & Rose (La courte échelle), a series for teenagers, mainly aimed at 11 to 17 year-olds. Amongst all her current projects, the author is hard at work on her upcoming novel and her career as a music journalist for the weekly publication Voir.
