Contemporary puppets, in French, general public.

Les bois dormants is a visual and musical show inspired by the world of fairytales, which focuses on the difference between beings, uniqueness and self-construction. Les bois dormants tells the story of a child faced with obstacles who makes the forests lying dormant inside him grow… There is also Julie Desrosiers’ world, a contemporary puppeteer with a visual arts and stage design background. She recently received the Victor-Martyn-Lynch-Staunton award from the Canada Council for the Arts for her outstanding work. She tells her tales through materials, puppets, movement… in a singular aesthetic replete with forceful and poetic images. Cédric Dind-Lavoie’s music accompanies this performance with several songs, among which an original lullaby by Stéphane Lafleur (of the Avec pas d’casque band).

Julie Desrosiers would like to thank the Canada Council for the Arts and the late Victor Martyn Lynch-Staunton for their support.

Big thanks to Laurence Binette, Marie-Claire Séguin, Amélie Montplaisir, Stéphane Lafleur…
