Video dance

Three artists merge their universes and their sensibilities to create a short art film that spotlights physical and metaphorical bonds between mother and child, human and nature. These invisible threads, beyond and between our scars, connect us to others and to the earth.

To drift off, let ourselves be carried
To resow, put down our roots

Build cities upon our buried bodies

Tie, weave, braid our stories until we are lost within them
To harvest our scars like a bouquet
One flower at a time

To dance
To share
To let go
To offer up the echo of our hurts and joys to howling winds
Between canopies
Here and there
Open heart
Palms turned upwards towards the sky

To let ourselves be crossed through
And to renew ourselves before withering

Duration: 15 minutes 33 seconds
