The brainchild of our new Diversity Commissioner Claudia Chan Tak, this evening brings together 4 artists from different backgrounds and artistic disciplines. This artistic compilation begins like a cassette, with music that will transport audiences from Colombia, Mali, the Reunion Islands, and Mexico. The evening continues with a unique and original creation by three artists who have never previously worked together, and who were tasked with creating a choreographic work that responds to the theme of recognition, where dance meets video projection.
Phénomena would like to thank the team at Studio 303, who supported the artists by welcoming them into their studio, as well as author Angelina Guo of Sticky Rice Magazine, who wrote a profile of each artist.
Second part: Ford Mckeown Larose: choreographer-performer. Justin de Luna: choreographer-performer. Kijâtai-Alexandra Veillette-Cheezo: video creation. Angelina Guo: interviews and portraits of the artists.
