Sophie Cadieux

Fresh out of the Conservatoire d’art dramatique de Montréal in 2001, Sophie Cadieux received immediate recognition for her role in French-language teen TV series Watatatow. She has since been involved in several television productions such as Temps dur, Rumeurs, Les Boys, Stan et ses stars as well as Les Lavigueur. She is currently in Tactik on Télé-Québec. Sophie, very active on the theatre scene, played in both Martine Beaulne’s Top Girls and Claude Poissant’s Unity 1918. She has also played in Patrice DuboisLe Grand mécanisme, Alice Ronfard’s Pieds des anges as well as in Après la fin, a play by Maxime Denommé scheduled to open in next fall. In 2004, Sophie was nominated for a Masque for best female performance as Braidie in Sylvain Bélanger’s production of Cette fille-là. On the big screen, she was among the cast of Ma tante Aline by Gabriel Pelletier and participated in the movies Dérape by Patrick Demers and Tromper by Julie Hivon as well as in Daniel Roby’s next film entitled Funkytown.
