Maxime Catellier

Maxime Catellier was born in Rimouski and live in Montreal. A former editor of the defunct arts weekly Ici, he now contributes writing and criticism for a number of publications. He recently published his seventh book, Bois de mer (L’Oie de Cravan), in which he had gathered his poems and photos. He published his first novel, Le Corps de La Deneuve (Coups de tête), in March 2010. A pamphlet in verse, La Mort du Canada, was published by Poètes de Brousse in November 2009, lauching a new collection of essays with writer-editor Jean-François Poupart’s Gallimard chez les nazis. Also a musician, Catellier works on numerous projects that should come out in the upcoming year or two. He was involved with garage-rock act Fidel Castrol.
