Véro Leduc

An artist, activist and researcher, Véro Leduc is a professor for UQAM’s Department of Social and Public Communication. The first deaf university professor in Quebec, she teaches as part of the cultural action program that trains professionals to develop cultural actions and promote both the democratization of culture and cultural democracy. Though associated with numerous research partnerships, her current research interests include the artistic practices of deaf and disabled people in Canada, deaf music, cultural accessibility, the working lives of the hard of hearing and personal accounts as a tool for social transformation.
