Jennifer Manning

Born in Quebec and deaf from birth, Jennifer has always been an active member of the deaf community, both in Quebec and in the West, where she spent 10 years. She developed a passion for acting at a young age, and used to put on little shows at home. She participated in her first play, The Little Match Girl, when she was in primary school. High school brought fashion shows and dance and theatre performances. She was cast in a Montréal adaptation of the play Romeo and Juliet in LSQ and has written short sketches for the Deaf community at the CLSM. She worked with Cinéall to help edit a short film. Since returning to Quebec last year, she participated in the play Traversée by Voyageurs Immobiles, cie. de création. Most recently, she has been acting as an LSQ interpreter for the Guerrilla Girls.
