Claude Poissant

Author, comedian, but most of all a well known director, Claude Poissant is the co-director and one of the founders (1978) of Theatre Pap, a company dedicated to contemporary dramas, in residence at the Theatre Espace GO. A leading figure of Quebec theatre for more than 30 years, he is also a discoverer and pioneer of new words. Among his recent stagings, let us recall Le Traitement by Martin Crimp, Unity, mil neuf cent dix-huit by Keven Kerr, Le Ventriloque by Larry Tremblay (Masque de la production Montreal), La Fete sauvage by Mathieu Gosselin (produced by the Theatre de la Banquette arrière and shown at the Theatre de la Licorne), the adaptation of Je voudrais me deposer la tete by Jonathan Harnois, Abraham Lincoln va au theatre by Larry Tremblay, Mutantes, the last show of Pierre Lapointe (for the Francofolies 2008), and most recently Rouge Gueule by Etienne Lepage.
