Claudine Vachon

Born in 1973, Claudine Vachon studied science and literature. Her 2001 creative dissertation entitled Les Machines désirantes was published in 2003 by Éditions Rodrigol, which she co-founded. Claudine is interested in the oral tradition and has given several poetry readings and performances at such venues as the Festival de Poésie de Trois-Rivières, Festival Voix d’Amériques, Marché de la Poésie de Montréal, and Parcs Vivants. In 2007, Édition Rodrigol published a collection of her performed works called À l’oral ou à l’oreille. She contributed to Contre’hommage pour Gilles Deleuze published in 2009 by Presses de l’Université Laval, which also published her book of poetry “J’avance”. Claudine organizes performance art pieces and happenings known as Actes Terroristes Ridicules. (2e Biennale d’Arts Performatifs de Rouyn-Noranda and the Festival de Théâtre de Rue de Lachine).
