It’s a GO for the FVA! March 11—18, 2011

Thursday, February 3, 2011

The Festival Voix d’Amériques is up and running and we promise you a high-voltage event! From Melissa Auf der Maur in a special concert written especially for the FVA’s 10th anniversary, to Michel Faubert who will perform in Spoken Metal mode, to the New York triad of Waldman-Holman-Arcade, to the explorations ofMaison Close and Dans la forêt 3, the FVA is crossing boundaries yet again. Not to mention our infamous French-language soapbox event Combat contre la langue de bois and the DADA FREAK SHOW Cabaret, each more explosive than ever.
At the “Band+Poetry 5 à 7” expect to see Samian & Anodajay, Keith Kouna, Lake of Stew and Avec pas d’casques among others, accompanied by poets or performers. The “Night Shift” joins the Under the Snow Festival for its first three nights, offering a whiff of the avant-garde with Les momies de Palerme, Héliodrome, Sapo, the action poetry of the Bobo Bisous Collective, and more. Hosted by Pascal-Angelo Fioramore, the shows start at 10pm followed at 11pm by our legendary Open Mic, where the featured act is you.

All mainstage shows at 8pm are $10 (tax included) and the “Band+Poetry 5 à 7” and “Night Shift” series are free!

All that and everything else at! Tickets on sale now at Espace Go, La Tulipe and Réseau Admission.
