Margherita Bergamo

Born in 1980 in Padova, Italy, she’s dancer, choreographer and cultural manager. She has been working with Nin Scolari and Roberto Castello in Italy, before moving to Barcelona in 2001, where she worked with Sol Picó, Erre que erre, Ribermusica and La Veronal. She has been assistant director of Ángeles Angulo and Roman Torre in ‘Avatar*’, and choregraphic assistant of Caterina and Carlotta Sagna in ‘Nuda Vita’. Together with Tuixén Benet she founded Les filles Föllen in 2010. They met studying Choreography and performance technique at the Conservatory of Dance of Barcelona’s Theatre Institute. They’ve worked together since 2008 and in 2010 they premiered the show ’Entrance with charge: two girls smoke a cigarette in only 30 seconds’, which had the audience award in Scena Simulacro in Madrid. Their experience is disparate and eclectic, from rhythmic gymnastics to skating, communication and management. They like the scene, the audiovisual and music videos.

The other shows they have premiered are ’Unter der schönen Haut’ (2011), ’Tropical Bunker’ (2011), ’La Mar i l’Ona’ (2012), ’Everybodyskin’ (2012), ‘Escena Simultània’ (2012), besides the dance movies ’Three monster tales’ (2010) and ‘Unter der schönen Haut sobre gespa artificial’ (2011); they have also signed the staging of ’Cigarreras: métodos y tiempos’ (2011) and several choreographies for music videos, short and feature films. At the of 2012 they won the Catalan dance association award, and in 2013 they have started the new performance project: ‘Projecte 13, exhibition about you and me’.
